Carlo Panunzi was born in Italy and grew up in Luxembourg.

He moved to Belo Horizonte in 2000, when ARBED offered him a leading position as Belgo Mineira’s general director.

Carlo Panunzi is the last Luxembourgish general director of Belgo Mineira and currently vice-president of ArcelorMittal’s advisory board in Brazil.

Since his retirement, Carlo Panunzi and his wife Astrid have been living crossroads between Luxembourg and Brazil.
