Herbert Forster

Herbert Forster was born in Salzgitter-Bad (Germany) in 1942 because his parents moved from Esch-sur-Alzette to Germany during the Second World War.

In the aftermath of the war, the Forsters moved back to Luxembourg and Herbert was a 9-year-old boy when the family emigrated to João Monlevade in 1951 because his father Vincent Forster, a Luxembourgish technician, was hired by Belgo Mineira.

Herbert grew up in Monlevade and studied engineering in Belo Horizonte, where he shared an apartment with a fellow Luxembourger, Jean-Paul Seeburger, who was studying medicine. We meet Herbert in his home in Curitiba with his Brazilian wife Rosimere Forster, his teenage love whom he met in João Monlevade.

Rosimere Forster

Rosimere Forster is Herbert Forster's wife. Both met in João Monlevade when her father was hired by Belgo Mineira in 1959 to establish order and discipline amongst the workers.

The couple fell in love, got married in the Monlevade Church and is currently living in Curitiba (Paraná).
