Moyen Family



François Moyen
François Moyen was born in Dudelange in 1932 and started working at Arbed right after his studies in Grenoble. Two years later, he was offered a position at Belgo Mineira and moved overseas with his freshly married wife Marie-Thérèse Kappweiler Moyen. The couple arrived in Brazil in 1956.
François Moyen climbed professionally to the position of Belgo Mineira’s general director, then president, and Honorary Consul of Luxembourg.
We meet François Moyen in his house in Belo Horizonte together with his daughter Sylvie and son Yves.
Marie-Thérèse Moyen-Kappweiler
Marie-Thérèse Moyen-Kappweiler was born in Esch-sur-Alzette and moved to Brazil with François Moyen after their wedding.
In Brazil, Marie-Thérèse started an artistic career and her artistic name was Maritê.




Sylvie Moyen
Sylvie Moyen is the daughter of François and Marie-Thérèse Moyen-Kappweiler.
She lives in Belo Horizonte.
Yves Moyen
Yves Moyen is the son of François and Marie-Thérèse Moyen-Kappweiler.
He is currently living in São Paulo.




Luc Moyen
Luc Moyen is the son of François and Marie-Thérèse Moyen-Kappweiler.
He is currently living in the U.S.A.










François and Marie-Thérèse arrived in Brazil in 1956.
